An illustration of a human brain.

One Hundred Percent

INT. TELEVISION STUDIO.
[The television show HOST sits with a microphone beside ROBERT, a rather nondescript looking man dressed in nondescript clothes, sitting on a nondescript chair. A live audience looks on.]
HOST: Robert, you claim to be able to use one hundred percent of your brain is this correct?
ROBERT: Yes, that is correct sir.
HOST: Have long have you had this gift Robert?
ROBERT: For some time. I started learning how to use the full functions of the brain when I was very very young and since then I have developed my skills.
HOST: And you say, that this ability to use one hundred percent of your brain, anyone can learn?
ROBERT: Well, pretty much. You see, for most people ninety percent of their brain is locked. It must be unlocked.
HOST: How?
ROBERT: Well, that is rather complicated.
HOST: Robert, you say that using one hundred percent of the brain has enabled you to do some extraordinary things. Can you tell us a little about the skills that you have acquired?
ROBERT: Yes. But perhaps, it would be even better if I showed you and the audience at home of course.
HOST: Very well. That would be delightful.
ROBERT: I will require the help of my assistant Jenny.
[JENNY STANDS UP IN THE FRONT ROW OF THE AUDIENCE AND GREETED WITH APPLAUSE SHE STEPS ONTO THE SET. SHE STANDS BESIDE ROBERT AND HOLDS HIS HANDS. SEEMINGLY SHE HAS DONE THIS BEFORE.]
HOST: Hello Jenny. [LOOKING AT THE CAMERAS AGAIN] So, here is Robert demonstrating what a human being is capable of when they use 100 percent of their brain power at once.
[The audience holds their breath as Robert closes his eyes for five seconds then opens them again and looks at the host.]
ROBERT: It’s done.
HOST: Marvellous Robert! Marvellous! That’s what it looks like to use one hundred percent of the brain at one time.
ROBERT: Yes.
HOST: Robert, can you tell us what it feels like to use one hundred percent of your brain?
ROBERT: Well, it feels extraordinary. I have images flash before my eyes. I see different colours, different sounds. It’s lovely.
HOST: Robert, is it at all possible that we could get you to use one hundred percent of your brain again for us?
ROBERT: Well, I’m afraid not. Because the problem is that it takes a huge amount of mental power to use one hundred percent of my brain. I won’t be able to try it again till maybe next Wednesday. Depending.
HOST: Fascinating. It is truly fascinating what the human mind can achieve! Robert, thank you for demonstrating our full potential to us. It really is completely and utterly extraordinary!
[The audience applauds half-heartedly.]
ROBERT: Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Really, thank you. You’re too kind. Thank you.
[THE END.]
